After I heard about it I laugh out loud and said, “I thought your mum can’t read?”

She agreed and said, “But it’s a wonder she remembers how to read those name!”

And thus, I call this Selective English Syndrome. Although the food in a Japanese restaurant is not all in English, at least it is still in alphabets to her….
