I knw i juz blog this morning but what i saw on the newpaper and yahoo news provoked me!!!!!

Extracted from The New Paper Monday, 10 July 2006 page 63:

Zidane must have been provoked, says Beckenbauer

World Cup chief organiser Franz Beckenbauer said that yesterday that Italy defender Marco Materazzi must have said something to provoke Zinedine Zidane into headbutting him in the final.

"Something must have been said to Zidane. He is actually a reserved and inoffensive person" Beckenbauer said.

Beckenbauer said Zidane's dismissal after he had headbutted Materazzi in the chest in the second period of extra-time had cost France dear.

and bla bla bla....

the most important point im talking about is this:

"Something must have been said to Zidane. He is actually a reserved and inoffensive person" Beckenbauer said.

Cause i read in Yahoo news was different...

Extracted from Yahoo News:

.........

His temper has been another matter.

Playing for Juventus five years ago, Zidane butted Jochen Kientz of Hamburger SV in a Champions League match, also earning a red card.

Eight years ago, Zidane was red-carded for stomping on an opponent while playing Saudi Arabia. At this World Cup he collected two yellow cards and was suspended for France's third group match against Togo.

..............
......
.....

So much for those pre-tournament reports that Zidane had lost his edge, which privately are believed to have infuriated him to the point of snubbing the press.

Reports of his hot temper, however, cannot be denied now.

So what do u all think??? Is it Materazzi's fault or its due to Zidane's bad temper?

I saw the footage. It was just a normal holding on to him which is common!

I say, Zidane is angry that Materazzi score a goal to draw the game and he is already well unhappy and plus its already into extra time and it is obvious france cant win Italy unless its penalty kick and also plus Materazzi touched him while playing in the game and thus he got angry and headbutted Materazzi! thats for his bad temper!

In the new paper reported that Thierry Henry said: "If they want to use video evidence it's not for everyone incident, they should use it for everybody and they should look at Materazzi too."

I strongly agree that they should give Zidane a red card cause he got agressive in the field and attacked someone. Its not like when they are tackling the ball and got agressive. Its obviously Zidane could not control his temper and attacked someone.

And also from Yahoo news:

Head bowed, Zidane walked past Domenech but did not look at him. As he exited into the tunnel, his head still bent to the ground, he strode past the golden World Cup trophy and disappeared.

It's obvously Zidane had a body language describing he did purposely headbutted Materazzi and look as though he regreted his action and left the game lowering his head! juz by lowering his head he already showed signs of guilt!

Oh and the funny part in The New Paper page 67:

...... Actually, Fifa should classify his (Zidane) head as a lethal weapon. ......

It is up to you who believe who is in the wrong but for me i strongly agree the refree's decision to send Zidane off and Italy is definitely a strong team who is capable on winning this World Cup!
